“Thank you soooooo much for being such a fantastic photographer for our wedding day – we really appreciate all your time and effort throughout the day (even up until the jazz in the cellar bar!!) and you were a great person to have around which made a big difference to the feel of the day and making us both feel comfortable so – BIG THANK YOU!
We whisked straight off from UK on honeymoon and having a fab time so far – we have just had a look at your website and the photos you have put up look really fantastic! We love all the highlights you have selected to put on and think there is a great combination of pics to tell the whole story of our day. I like the little touches like the gold leaf in my shoe and the bride & groom theme which I’m really pleased about as it makes it individual to us”. Amy & Adam
So the forecast said to expect a wet day, especially early on, but once again, it didn’t happen that way at all with only one brief (albeit heavy) shower during the meal.
Amy & Adam are both British, but live in Sydney Australia, so organising a wedding half way round the world was never going to be the easiest thing, but pull it off indeed they did.
Amy wore Maria Chioda, a dress designer from Australia and had her hair done by LA Hair, Yarm and make up by Kate Pymm.
Wedding transport was a pair of cars, a Rolls and an Austin Princess courtesy of GW Holmes, plus a vintage bus for the guests.
Floristry was by Diana Kaye of Yarm and the ceremony was conducted by The Rev. John Chambers at St. Mary The Virgin, Richmond.
(That’s Richmond North Yorkshire, not Richmond Surrey. Or Virginia).
During the drinks reception at Middleton Lodge, Emma White played piano.
Amy & Adam’s cake was supplied by The Cake Room Ltd and two bands provided entertainment late into the night, – Beat Street International in the marquee until midnight and then Frankly Jazz in the Cellar Bar until the early hours of the morning.
A great wedding, superb venue and super couple!
Now that Amy & Adam have returned from their honeymoon in the Maldives, their full gallery with print ordering facility is now available to view by clicking here.
Below is an extensive set of 200+ highlights. Enjoy.
Simon Mark Whitten provided Middleton Lodge Spring wedding photography for Amy & Adam and is available throughout the county, the country and beyond.
Simon,
We can’t thank you enough for such amazing photo’s to capture all the special moments of our wedding day! From start to finish, you were absolutely fantastic to work with, we loved your energy, your personality, you have a great way of making people feel at ease on the day and you have amazing talent! Thank you also for putting in the extra mile and staying until the late night jazz in the cellar bar 🙂 I love the way you have captured all the individual details of our wedding theme, and natural shots of the guests throughout the day. I really prefer your natural style of photos to tell a story rather than having too many staged and posed shots.
Adam and I are now back in Sydney after a wonderful honeymoon in the Maldives and we can’t stop looking at the photos everyday! You have captured all the special memories from getting ready with the girls in the morning, Dad and I getting to church, our special church service, the speeches and all the dancing in the evening – they capture all the emotions and tell a beautiful story. Some of my favorite photos are those that you took of us walking around the grounds….they are very magical and even the sun came out just at the right time too!
Coming back from overseas for the wedding, one of the biggest things that you really helped to make a difference was when we met you for the pre-wedding meeting. I can;t believe how much of a different this meeting made to reduce our stress levels(!) before the big day. With your knowledge and experience of working at the venue before for previous wedding shoots, you really helped to give us a better feel for how the day was going to run and what timings were going to work. It made us feel comfortable n the day after getting to know you beforehand and discussing how we both wanted it to work.
Thank you thank you thank you Simon! We really appreciate all the effort you put in and will treasure our wonderful photo’s forever! Amy & Adam xx
Wow. Well thank you thank you thank YOU for the kind words and sentiments!
You played as big a part as I did in it all so you also deserve a good deal of the credit.
I simply loved your wedding day from start to finish and it was about as faultless as any wedding day can be!
Very impressed with the black and white photographs, all in all a very modern photo galary for Amy and Adam to reminisce over in the coming years.
Absolutely stunning pictures!! Captured this special day so much! THANK YOU! Michelle
Lovely set of photographs – Really like the mix of black & white with the colour. It was also refreshing to have a record of photographs which differs from the traditional wedding photograph album. I know that Adam & Amy will always treasure the memories of a special day through your photographs. Thanks a lot. Paul & Janet
